Computer Science and Mathematics Teacher
Reports To: Associate Head of School for Academics
Position Overview:
Cardinal Spellman High School is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic educator to join our team as a Computer Science and Mathematics teacher beginning in August 2025. This position offers the opportunity to engage motivated high school students and cultivate their interest and proficiency in technology and math at an advanced level. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both Computer Science and Mathematics. The individual will teach Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, and high school math courses.
Cardinal Spellman High School is a co-educational Catholic college preparatory school located in Brockton, Massachusetts serving students in grades 9-12. Key Responsibilities:
- Educational practice that positively impacts student achievement, using appropriate instructional strategies, and strong knowledge of the Computer Science and Mathematics curriculums and content areas
- Planning and execution of engaging, standards-based lessons and units aligned to the CSHS curriculum guidelines
- Participation in all aspects of positive culture and community building in the classroom and at school events
- Effective management and maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment that supports academic risk-taking, resilience building, and academic achievement
- Understanding of and skill in making accommodations for diverse student needs and learning styles
- Participation in professional development for continuous learning
- Collaboration with colleagues to create an environment of mutual respect and appreciation for all members of the school community

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Teaching certificate preferred
- Teaching experience preferred
- Completion of AP Summer Institute for AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A or equivalent training from College Board preferred
