Health and Wellness/Physical Education Teacher    

Our school is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Wellness/Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Health Education and Physical Education and have a deep understanding of health and wellness topics.

• Create and implement engaging health education lesson plans that meet state and national standards.
• Teach students about a variety of health topics, including but not limited to nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and substance abuse prevention.
• Assess and evaluate student learning through various methods such as tests, projects, and discussions.
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students who need extra help with health-related topics.
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and parents to create a positive learning environment that supports the health and well-being of all students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in health and physical education.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in health education and incorporate new information into lesson plans as needed.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Education or a related field.
• A valid teaching license or certification.
• A thorough understanding of health and wellness topics and the ability to teach these topics effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.

Preferred:

• At least 2 years of experience teaching health education at the secondary level.
• Experience teaching health and wellness within a Catholic or Christian School.
