Coach Kahn Chace receives Coach of the Week award


Head Football Coach Kahn Chace received the New England Patriots High School Coach of the Week award on Tuesday, October 26, following a victory against St. Mary’s (Lynn) the previous Friday. 


Patriots, College, and Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Andre Tippett came to Spellman to present the award to Coach Chace, which will be featured on the Patriots weekly television show, “Patriots All Access,” airing tonight at 7 p.m. on WBZ-TV in Boston.


Coach Chace is in his first year as head coach of the football team at Cardinal Spellman, and won the game in double overtime on Friday 22-20 against St. Mary’s six-game winning streak, according to the press release given by the Patriots. 


The award that Coach Chace was presented with came with a $1,000 donation to the Spellman football program in honor of his achievement from the Patriots Foundation. At the end of the fall, one of the winners of the Coach of the week award will be chosen to win Coach of the Year and receive $2,000 toward his or her school.
