Welcome! We are glad that you are here and excited to share more about our department and services we provide.
Our team consists of three certified professional school counselors, including a Director, overseeing two school counselors, and a Student Support Services Director and Coordinator. Together we bring a wealth of experience in three important areas, including but not limited to, supporting and encouraging our students' academic, social-emotional, and post-secondary experience and growth.
We are committed to partnering with our students, their families, and the Spellman community to foster growth and success in every aspect of the high school experience

Who We Are
The School Counseling Department regards all students as resilient and intelligent with gifts and talents which continue to be discovered. Our department seeks to guide students through high school as these transitions can be bumpy for some and easily accessible for others.
There is no linear way to progress through high school; it can be unpredictable, and that is why students at Cardinal Spellman High School are immediately assigned to one of the three school counselors upon entering the building.
The students and school counselors will develop a partnership over their tenure together at Spellman. The students should not be surprised that their school counselor wants to meet them proactively.
