Cardinal Spellman: The Spiritual Core of Our School Community
The Campus Ministry department at Cardinal Spellman plays an important role in bringing our school’s mission to life.
Rooted in Catholic tradition and inspired by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the Campus Ministry department serves the various needs of our students to aid in their full development. Our Campus Ministry program meets students wherever they are in their faith journey, and our goal is to walk with students one step at a time as they grow in their relationship with God.
No matter what stage you are at in your faith journey, there are opportunities for all students to find community and experience God. Many of our students are active in Campus Ministry and voluntarily participate in our events and programs. We want all students to feel welcomed and encourage them to explore their faith through the many opportunities we offer.
Working in conjunction with the theology department, Campus Ministry offers a variety of liturgies, events, and community service opportunities for students to engage in their faith through lived experiences. Students have most notably enjoyed our Friday morning Masses, class retreat days and service days, and our various domestic and international service trips. We show our students the love that God has for them and how they can reflect His love towards others.
Pray With Us
Our Campus Minister and Theology Department is available to pray and meet with students and staff throughout the school day. We can also be reached via phone or email to accept prayer requests from our families and alumni as well.

Retreats
All of our students attend class retreats every year. These retreats are an opportunity to encounter God and their classmates. In addition to the class retreats, we offer many opportunities for spiritual growth.
Service
At the heart of Spellman you will find service. All of our students fulfill our school’s mission statement by their participation in serving their community, their Church, and the world.
Liturgy
The Spellman community joins together many times throughout the year to pray, honor, and celebrate. We have many different opportunities to grow in our faith and to allow time for reflection and meditation throughout the school day.
Travel
At the heart of Spellman you will find service. All of our students fulfill our school’s mission statement by their participation in serving their community, their Church, and the world.
