Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic - Mustard Seed Communities

Mustard Seed Communities is a place of care for the most vulnerable—in particular abandoned children with disabilities. Beyond providing a home, MSC Jamaica actively manages community outreach initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty and fostering education within local communities.

One of our student missionaries, Caroline Bligh, shared, "From the service done to the connections we made, our time at Mustard Seed was truly an experience I will never forget. As soon as we arrived we were treated like family and met some of the most kind and compassionate people. It was incredibly rewarding to see the difference we were making in the lives of the children and adults we worked with. I also learned so much from the residents themselves, as well as from the dedicated aunties and our guide, Tavares. I am forever grateful to Spellman for providing me with this amazing opportunity."

Appalachia Service Project

Our students work selflessly and tirelessly to inspire hope and service through volunteer home repair and replacement in Central Appalachia.  This life-changing week volunteering through ASP not only supports the eradication of substandard housing in Central Appalachia but transforms everyone (students, chaperones, and those being served) who come in contact with this ministry.
