Endowment & Scholarship

For a Student:

Scholarships make a Spellman education accessible, opening doors for talented students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend. They help ensure that financial barriers do not stand in the way of a student's potential and dreams.

For the Donor:

An endowed scholarship is a lasting legacy of a donor’s generosity, vision, and commitment. It provides a unique opportunity for donors to make a meaningful, enduring impact on the lives of students and the future of Cardinal Spellman High School. Donors are also invited to a special Mass and brunch, where they can experience firsthand the impact of their gift and meet the student scholarship recipient whose life they have helped shape.

Named scholarships may be established in a person’s name and convey a specific intent of the scholarship; e.g, The Roger Smith Scholarship for Fine Arts. Specific criteria and means of funding can be tailored to meet the desires of the donor and the legal and academic requirements of Spellman.

If you wish to fund a scholarship at Cardinal Spellman High School, you may do so by an outright gift of cash, other assets or by a deferred gift. A donor can build an endowed scholarship through multiple gifts over a period of time. Sometimes, fulfillment of the scholarship is ensured through a bequest.
